A day in the life of a river

Hello, nice to meet you! I am a river. One day, I was taking a stroll.

Then, I tumbled down a mountain. I said to the mountain,"Hi, my name is Godavari. Will you be my friend?" It said,"Hi, I am Bhimkari Mountain. From today, we are friends." Then, I waved goodbye to my friend and flowed away.

Suddenly, I got trapped in a dam. I pleaded to the dam to let me go. The dam said,"OK, I will let you go. But first, you have to be a friend of mine. I don't have any friends. " I said,"OK, I am Godavari. What's your name, my friend?" The dam replied," My name is  Sriram Sagar."

"Oh,it looks like that you are a very famous dam."

"Yes, I am a dam belonging to Telangana. Hey, can I call you Gautami?"

"OK, can I call you Pochampadu?"

OK, bye Gautami!"

"Bye, Pochampadu!"

Next, I flowed away to a village. Some naughty boys threw pebbles on me. But. the pebbles didn't hurt me. Suddenly, a boy tripped over a pebble and fell over me. Many people came and rescued him. At evening, I flowed back home sadly as the factories polluted me.

Today, I am in a respectable position. I am a sacred river for people.Thousands of them come to Markandeya temple in Rajamahendravaram, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, which is located at the ghats of myself. But I am a good river friend for Bhimkari mountain and Sriram Sagar dam.
