Once upon a time, there was a beautiful village. There was a forest near the village. In that forest, there were many trees which bore fruits and flowers. The villagers were very friendly with the forest. They  watered the trees and plants  before going to their work. The forest was also friendly with the villagers. It   gave fruits and vegetables to the elders of  the village and flowers to the children.

In that village, there was a group of children. The children always watered the trees and plants of the forests before going to the school. While returning from school,they used to sit on the branches of the trees. The girls liked the trees very much. They used to pluck flowers from the trees and sit under the shade of trees. The boys used to eat the juicy fruits and sleep on the branches.

Days went by. One day, a factory owner came into that forest. He thought, "I will clear this forest and build my new factory. Tomorrow I will burn this forest". The trees and plants stated crying. The animals and birds too started weeping. That day, when the children came to the forest happily, the forest told them the whole story. The children became angry and told, "Do not worry forest.We will save you." Next day, when the factory owner came to the forest, the children stopped them. The factory owner shouted, "Hey, you silly kids. Get out of my way. I will burn this forest to set up my new factory". Then the children answered,"No. We will not move from here". Saying, the children put their arms around trees, hugged them tightly and refused to move. The owner said he will beat them if they don't move. Instead, the children begun to scream. Hearing the loud screams from the forest, the villagers began running towards the forest. When they reached, they saw the factory owner was beating the children. The villagers became angry. They began to beat the factory owner. One villager began to beat him with a stick. A woman began to beat him with a ladle. Villagers beat him with whatever they had in their hand. Finally, the factory owner went away from the forest.

The villagers were proud with the children. They gave them the title of "Forest Savers". The children became very happy. They hugged the trees and plants.

From that day, the children protected the forest and the forests gave them many presents.

Indus Valley civilisation

 The Indus valley civilisation, also known as the Harappan civilisation or Indus civilisation, was a Bronze Age in the northwestern regions of South Asia, lasting from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE, and in its mature form from 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE.  It covered an area of one million square kilometres. It had the largest population and territory of all the Bronze Age civilisations like Mesopotamia, Egypt and ancient China.  Like almost all early civilisations the Indus Civilisation grew around dank river valleys. Their farmers were able to grow a massive food surplus along the banks of the Indus and Ghaggar-Hakra rivers. But we have no evidence of  Kings or priests for the Harappans.
